This is a sturdy American made knife. It is heavy. I don't recommend abusing any knife.

    BK-2

This is a great bush/ survival knife. It's built like a tank. Good steel. People complain about the sheath, I have no problems with it. The only advice I would give is to put a drop of Loc-tite on the screws in the sheath and in the handles, they tend to come loose. This is not a "Rambo" knife, or a fighting knife. Mall ninjas won't like this one. No stupid "saw teeth". A no frills , reliable knife. Buy this one if you are serious about bushcraft.

    Tough knife

Posted by Howard DeWitt on Oct 22nd 2009

You don't buy a Bk-2 for looks. It isn't a pretty knife! It is a TOUGH knife. If you are looking for an affordable, strong, knife that can take just about anything, this is it. No, it isn't a delicate carver...and it doesn't try to be. If you want something to baton through tough wood, if you want something you can dig with, if you want a knife that will stay with you a LONG time...this is a great choice. I don't like the sheath, but this review isn't about the sheath. I LOVE the knife.
