    Great knife

Posted by Michael Leger on Jan 16th 2014

This knife is great if you need to do some outdoor tasks, or just want to look cool swinging a huge blade around.
It came decently sharp, but I reprofiled it with a 40 degree convex edge and now it's razor sharp.

Cutlery Shoppe has the lowest price I could find for the BK9 and I got it in two days, awesome service.

    great camp knife

Posted by Michael J on Jun 25th 2012

Just spent 4 days in southern utah wilderness with this knife. It was great for use as a camp knife. I processed wood, prepped food, and cleared some dead tree limbs from our tent area with it and it's still sharp. I even trimmed some tree branches with it back at my house. Great knife for the money.

    Great Follow Up

Posted by Miguel Di Feo on May 28th 2011

I purchased this knife knowing it capacity and specifications. However, Jeff was not aware that they had stopped sending the second small utility knife in the pacakage. When Ireceived it, I called him and he immediately made things right for me. He provided great follow up service, almost unheard of nowdays. The knife met all my expectation and Jeff's follow up service surpassed them. I recommend Jeff highly and will consider him first for all my future knife purchases.

    THIS is a knife

Posted by Aaron on Dec 4th 2010

This is certainly a big knife, though it is very easy to wield. It has a a great grind which comes to a fine edge and makes short work of nearly anything. Mine came shaving sharp, as well as the bk13 that comes with it. There is a pretty big difference between this the BK7 though if that matters. Overall, great value for a quality piece that has a utility pouch and additional small knife.

    Outstanding!

Posted by T. Andersen on Feb 25th 2010

I am impressed with this blade. Came sharp in the box with a small Becker neck knife included. The blade is long enough for use around camp as a small machete, while dexterous for finer work of shaving or whittling. Black coating protects the blade from rust, which is helpful for my outdoor conditions when I camp in the Pacific Northwest. The sheath pocket takes a stone and small bottle of mineral oil, with space for a flint/Firesteel, and more; great for a small survival kit.
Rides heavy on the hip when loaded, but with added leg ties, it makes it a comfortable addition to my kit. I added a paracord lanyard for safety when out in the field.
Watched the KnifeTests video and this knife will handle everything an outdoor setting will offer.
Outstanding knife for camping or for your BOB. Highly recommended.
