Spyderco C81MPCW2 Para Military 2 - Cru-Wear Satin Finish Plain Edge Blade - Brown Canvas Micarta Handle

We've all heard the expression "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Well, at Spyderco it doesn't quite work that way as they are constantly improving their products. It's so much a part of their corporate culture that they've coined a term for it: C.Q.I., which is an acronym for "Constant Quality Improvement. If Spyderco can refine or improve on the ergonomics of a design, or a way to get more cutting performance from one of their knives, change it they do!

The latest proof of their C.Q.I. would be matching their iconic PM2 with a CPM CRU-WEAR blade and retro brown canvas Micarta handle scales. Its FFG (full-flat-groun) plain edge blade capitalizes on CRU-WEAR’s hard-earned reputation for taking and holding a superior edge while remaining tough and resilient.

Its precision-machined scales are supported by full skeletonized stainless steel liners that also form the backbone of the knife’s Compression Lock mechanism. They reveal the Micarta’s handsome layered construction and provide a platform for a four-position pocket clip and lined lanyard hole that support all possible carry positions and preferences. Proudly made in the Golden, Colorado factory.

    Great Knife

Posted by Isaac H. on Dec 9th 2022

Awesome knife from Spyderco! Really feels good in the hand with the micarta scales. Mine had a drop shut action right out of the box and was scary sharp. Of course Cutlery shoppe had super fast shipping along with a couple goodies. I buy pretty much all my Spyderco from them. They have the best selection and price. I also love their exclusives.

Excellent knife, came fast and sharp. Cutlery shoppe is one of my go to places to shop for knives.

Cru-Wear with Micarta? Yes, please, and thank you!

Posted by Richard on Dec 6th 2022

So I’ve wanted this one since it came out. I was on the fence because of the steel liners that support the micarta. I enjoy aftermarket scales quite a bit and some makers just don’t have anything for it yet.
After seeing it in person and using it for just a short while, I can conclude that I am not even remotely interested in changing out the scales.
It feels sturdy and the blade comes nice and sharp. I’m really enjoying it. Be sure to get one of these when available, you won’t be disappointed!

    Sub-par for a spyderco

    Posted by Johncj3 on Dec 5th 2022

Transaction was smooth, shipping was fast and arrived 2 days early! Now for the knife. Mine was stiff, even after lubricant its still stiff. I will have to completely disassemble it and figure out what the issue is. Definitely not the spyderco quality that I’m used to. The knife doesn’t have any reflection of Cuttlery Shoppe. I will be purchasing more from them!

    Spyderco C81MPCW2 Para 2

Posted by Thaddeus Tirasol on Jul 5th 2022

This was my second purchase here, the first one (also Spyderco) , when I received, the package has a slight damage on the box knife, I put it on my comment, they took care of it, they wrapped the package securely, I was impressed, plus lots of bonus, stickers, keychains, pens, lollipops, wow! Great job! Thanks.
