Spyderco C36MPCW2 Military 2 - CPM-CruWear Plain Edge Blade - Brown Canvas Micarta Handle - Compression Lock

When Spyderco introduced the first Sprint Run™ Shaman® combining the traditional look of brown canvas Micarta scales and CPM CRU-WEAR blade steel, we were overwhelmed by the response. Later dubbed “CruCarta,” this distinctive pairing of old-school, high-performance materials became an instant classic. To ensure we could meet customer demand when we applied the “CruCarta” treatment to other models, we decided to make them full-line products, not limited editions. We began with the Para Military 2 and are now proud to add four more USA-made models to this elite family. All feature skeletonized full stainless steel liners, slim brown canvas Micarta scales, and CPM CRU-WEAR tool steel blades that offer an outstanding balance of edge retention and toughness. The scales of all these knives are sanded smooth but left unpolished, so they will naturally patina with age and handling to develop their own unique character.

    Awesome variant — missed QC

Posted by Bevan Tong on May 5th 2024

Received it in record time from Cutlery Shoppe, thank you! My first time trying a Millie 2 and while everything met my expectations from a model perspective, there were a couple misses. First, there was a small chunk in the Micarta that was missing. Secondly, the centering was pretty far from centered. Lastly, the micarta doesn’t feel as nice as the original shaman Crucarta, nor even the PM2 version. However, Jeff from CS took care of me and provided a return label for the defective knife. While I may be hesitant to grab another Millie 2, I have absolutely no reservations about buying from CS in the future.
