Cold Steel 62MGD Large Espada - AUS-10A Blade - Black G-10 Handle
Cold Steel has never been afraid to break with convention when it comes to the knives they offer. That’s why, when other manufacturers are building the smallest/lightest knives possible, Cold Steel bucks the trend and releases folders that could only be described as one thing - pocket swords!
Cold Steel's Espada series was inspired by the classical Navaja knives of Spain, but given a modern improvement in both appearance and materials. A design collaboration between custom knife maker Andrew Demko and Cold Steel President Lynn C. Thompson, the Espadas are available in two sizes to suit both the bold and the boldest of individuals! Despite their imposing size, each Espada is expertly designed to fit comfortably and discreetly in your pocket, or inside the waistband. You’ll soon forget that you are carrying such a large and impressive blade. Equipped with the patented Demko Thumb Plate, the Large and Extra Large Espada's can be snagged on your pocket, opening the knife as you draw it - and opening in the blink of an eye! The Espada’s wicked, yet beautiful blades are made from premium AUS-10 Steel - each given a discreetly tactical stonewash finish. They also feature a slim black G-10 handle for comfort, concealability and strength.
Each Espada is equipped with Cold Steel's patented Tri-Ad locking mechanism, which is proven to have amazing shock resistance and strength.

More about AUS-10A steel:
Japanese AUS-10A steel could be referred to as the “big brother” of AUS 8A; the latter of which Cold Steel has been using in their products for over three decades. AUS-10A is a high-performance stainless alloy steel boasting all the properties of AUS-8A and then some! It’s an excellent steel for working knives - tough, corrosion-resistant, easy to re-sharpen, and is known for better edge retention than AUS-8A, due to its higher carbon content.
