Buck Knives 0110BKS1 110 Folding Slim Select Hunter - Clip Point 420HC Blade - Black Nylon Handle

Buck’s Folding Hunter was created in 1963 when Al Buck decided that a revolutionary folding lockblade knife was needed by outdoorsmen who wanted a sturdy knife but did not want to carry a long fixed-blade knife. He was right and the result proved to be the key to the company’s future.

The 110 Folding Hunter® is one of America’s favorite knives, this version, the 110 Slim Select Hunter, will undoubtedly follow in suit. Weighing in at under 3 ounces, the Slim Select is created with lightweight molded nylon, drastically reducing its weight while maintaining the same quality as the original Folding Hunter®. The clip point blade is finished with Buck’s advanced Edge2x blade technology for unbelievable sharpness and edge retention out of the box. Made in the USA.

More about 420HC steel:
This is Buck's standard blade material because it approaches the wear resistance of high carbon alloys while delivering the corrosion resistance of chromium stainless steels. Using their exclusive heat-treat process and you have a very user-friendly combination of superior corrosion resistance with excellent strength for wear resistance and durability. You also have a blade that is easy to resharpen. For best performance Buck hardens their 420HC blades to a Rockwell hardness of Rc 58.

    5/5 without the clip!

I could not be happier with this knife! The plastic handles are very comfortable, and don't feel like a toy; while the blade is easy to open one handed with the comfortable thumb studs, and just slides through cardboard. This is a perfect tool knife. I choose to carry mine in my pocket without the clip, because it's too big and gaudy.

Why I bought the Buck 110 slim select Hunter

Posted by Randy D Cisneros on Apr 26th 2021

I own several Buck knives including the original Buck 110 with the wood brass ends. I needed quality folding work knife that was light weight to carry and had a pocket clip. The Buck knife is a outstanding knife for the cost plus it's 420HC steel famous for holding a edge and easily to sharpen which makes it even better and it's made in USA.
