This special blade is made of high-performance Damascus, forged exclusively for Boker from the gun barrel steel of the German Leopard I battle tank. It has a hardness of 61 to 63 HRC and a high degree of toughness at the same time. The 300-layer Damascus in the Small Pyramids pattern is ideally suited to the hardcoat-anodized handle made of CNC-milled AlMgSi1 aluminum, which is considerably higher quality than normally used lower quality aluminum.
