Building on the legacy of the Mantra series, Spyderco's fourth-generation Mantra 4 is a sleek, stylish folding knife with an exceptionally refined front-flipper opener. In the closed position, a tiny sliver of the blade’s tang stands proud above the spine of the handle. A stroke of the index finger against its textured surface propels the blade swiftly and reliably into the open position. Crafted from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, the full-flat-ground, satin finished blade rides on low-friction ball bearing washers and also includes their signature Trademark Round Hole for additional opening options. The knife’s open-backed handle is built with two white G-10 scales, one of which is machined to accept a nested stainless steel liner. The skeletonized liner forms the heart of the knife’s sturdy LinerLock mechanism and is thoughtfully textured for easy lock release. To balance discreet carry and immediate access, the Mantra 4 includes a low-profile deep-pocket wire clip that is reversible for left or right-side tip-up carry.
