Kershaw 1660SWBLK Leek SpeedSafe® Assist Folder - Sandvik 14C28N Blade - Anodized Aluminum Handle

Customers kept telling Kershaw, "I wish you guys made a plain black Leek with a stonewashed blade". Well, they made it.

Like other Leeks, it features a task-ready 3.0" blade, slim, easy-to-carry design, and cutting versatility. The modified drop-point blade shape makes it a good slicing knife, while the slim tip gives it excellent piercing and detail work capabilities. Built of Sandvik 14C28N high-performance stainless steel, the Leek’s blade comes razor sharp out of the box and holds its edge, too. We gave it a roughened up, stonewashed finish to hide scratches and for general cool looks. Of course, it also has SpeedSafe assisted opening for fast and easy one-handed opening. Left- or right-handed, a simple pull back on the ambidextrous flipper and the Leek’s stonewashed blade is ready to go to work.

A sturdy liner lock keeps the blade open during use and a Tip-Lock slider locks it closed when folded. The pocket clip is reversible for tip-up or tip-down carry and the handle is drilled to accept a lanyard.

    Awesome Knife !

    Posted by W J on Apr 22nd 2015

This is the lightest of the Leek Line of Kershaw knives, and the finish of the blade is actually a bit smoother and shinier than what you see in the photo here. The lockup on this knife is the best of ANY folder I've ever owned, and that includes another Kershaw, 3 SOGs, and most surprising is that the lockup is even better than my Benchmade 470-1 Emissary ! There is absolutely ZERO Up/Down, and ZERO side to side play in this blade, which is phenomenal for a knife that is under 50.00 ! The blade is ultra sharp right out of the box, and the knife is the perfect size and weight for an EDC pocketknife. I'm glad that the pocketclip is reversible, and it is also removable if you want as well.

This knife is one of the best values out there, and I highly recommend it ! I would definitely buy it again.
