Japanese AUS-10A steel could be referred to as the “big brother” of AUS 8A; the latter of which Cold Steel has been using in their products for over three decades. AUS-10A is a high-performance stainless alloy steel boasting all the properties of AUS-8A and then some! It’s an excellent steel for working knives - tough, corrosion-resistant, easy to re-sharpen, and is known for better edge retention than AUS-8A, due to its higher carbon content.

    GREAT option for survival

    This is my 3rd Voyager, I use this everyday for LE and I carry it when I'm hiking, hunting, and camping. I don't like a belt knife and because of the tri-ad locking system this is a great alternative. This is one tough heavy use knife--it's built like a tank, the price, the steel, the texture on the scales are outstanding, buy with confidence--and buy from the Cutlery Shoppe

    Super fast shipping from cutlery shoppe first of all. Secondly, the knife is awesome. Huge knife but quite light, very sharp factory edge and great blade centering. No blade play whatsoever. Great work knife!

    This is my second Cold Steel Voyager. I use it as a woods knife and as a first-responder. This knife will be a good bush-craft, survival, and hunting knife too. I like the "triple lock" (best ever), the ergo's, the grip texture, and the AUS-10a stainless steel, easy to sharpen and maintain. The price point is amazing--buy with confidence. buy from Cutlery Shoppe... :)

    Great option to a fixed blade

    Hi -- this is a great option for bush-craft, hunting, survival, LE, Military, and EDC. Yes it's big, but it's a great alternative to a fixed blade knife. The Voyager comes with the triple-lock system which is know for it's strength (it's solid), the AUS 10A stainless steel is very good, holds an edge and easy to resharpen. The GRIV-EX scales and the ergo's are fantastic. This knife also has aluminum liners that add strength. The Cutlery Shoppe, as always, is my go to for knives.
