Böker Solingen 120543AF Applegate - Fairbairn Combat Knife II - Double Edge 440C Blade

One of the many things that Col. He accomplished this desire by his collaboration with Boker Baumwerk of Solingen, Germany. Each of the knives in this series feature fully-sharpened double edge blades, forward-swept brass guards and fiberlass reinforced Delrin handles which are weighted to the Colonel's exacting specifications for perfect balance.

It was shipped to me very fast and it was nearly flawless in fit and finish. Very sharp right out of the box. Best prices on the net. Jeff's prices can't be beat!

This is the best fighting knife money can buy. This model is the original Applegate design, with the longer blade and the diamond profile (not flat on the back like the boot knife). Gerber makes some excellent folding versions, but Böker is the only company that currently manufactures the fixed blade original. I live in the Applegate Valley, named for Oregon Trail pioneer Jesse Applegate, who was Col. Rex Applegate's grandfather. And it's super cool to buy this knife from Jeff, who was a personal friend and protege of Col. Rex Applegate. I spent all weekend stabbing dead trees, and the point is still perfectly sharp. I couldn't be happier with this knife.
