    best 'civilian' tool

Posted by Joris Mo on Jul 5th 2011

I usually carry this while not working. (I carry a swisstool original for work where the weight doesn't bother me) The Spirit is the perfect tool for travel/ hiking/ casual. I don't miss the regular blade on it since I usually carry a folder as well. I think Victorinox makes the best tools, before my first swisstool I've owned Leatherman & SOG tools but they can't touch these.

    Best multi-tool for my needs.

Posted by Martin Shapiro on May 7th 2010

Wisely, I asked Jeff for his opinion about a multi-tool that would fit my needs, and this was his choice for me. Turns out, he was dead on right. It's perfect.
Each tool locks in place, a feature I really like, plus I find the tools available pretty much all that I ever need...which means I carry and use the Spirit all the time, instead of leaving it in a drawer like the others I've had. It's very well made, and solid, great for use in the garden, and just about any other
place, at least for me. Comes with a neat leather pouch.
