Widely known in the knife industry as the “Godfather of Knifemaking,” the late Frank Centofante was highly respected for his elegant designs and painstaking craftsmanship. Spyderco’s Centofante 3 faithfully captures that spirit and translates it into a practical everyday-carry cutting tool. This remarkable knife elevates that design even further with a saber-ground blade crafted from Crucible® Industries' CPM CruWear - an air-hardening tool steel specially formulated to offer both superior wear resistance and toughness. The CruWear used in this knife's blade is also enhanced by the Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process, which ensures an ultra-fine, extremely homogeneous grain structure that maximizes the performance potential of the steel.
Rather than the injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced-nylon handle and two-position clip that are standard on this model, this elite Exclusive also showcases smooth black carbon fiber scales and a four-position clip that is configurable for left or right-side, tip-up or tip-down carry.
