Spyderco Endura 4 Lightweight C11ZFPOR - HAP40/SUS410 Laminated Blade - ZOME Orange/Black FRN Handle

Cutlery Shoppe's latest exclusive, the Spyderco Delica 4 Zome combines a brilliant pattern of orange and black with all the other defining features of this best-selling model. Since Spyderco first showed us a prototype of the ZOME handle models they were looking to make, we knew we had to have one in orange/black. We first offered an exclusive Endura, and it only made sense to offer a matching Delica.

Rather than just offer "our" ZOME with an orange/black handle, we decided to go "all out" and have Spyderco build them with a full-flat-ground HAP40/SUS410 laminated blade. This upgrade truly makes this ZOME stand out.

Standard features of the Delica 4 lightweight included is the well known solid back lock mechanism, a reversible deep-pocket four-way pocket clip that supports left or right-side tip-up carry. An amazing fusion of traditional artistry and modern factory production, this Delica 4 Lightweight ZOME is a practical everyday cutting tool with one-of-a-kind character.

More about HAP40 Blade Steel:
HAP40 is a powder metallurgy high-speed tool steel made by Hitachi Metals Ltd. of Japan. It is well known in Japan and used in high end cutlery, due to its excellent balance of hardness, toughness and edge retention.

More about ZOME:
Zome (pronounced "zoh-may") is a classical Japanese method of dyeing textiles that is closely related to many aspects of that country’s culture and history. Inspired by this rich artistic heritage, Spyderco's Zome family of knives includes unique hand-dyed variations of popular lightweight models with injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handles. The handles of these knives are first molded in a light base color, and then individually hand dyed by expert Japanese artisans using a technique reminiscent of traditional hiki-zome (brush dyeing). In this painstaking method, various colors of dye are hand brushed onto the handle to create distinctive, one-of-a-kind patterns that permeate the FRN material.

Feels great in the hand, sharp blade and carries well in pocket by clip. I was going to get Benchmade Bugout 535 but decided to purchase Spyderco again. Great knife!

    Delica HAP40

The ZOME handle is awesome, very unique and really pops with the knife overall. HAP40 is very interesting and seems to be a great steel, first HAP40 blade I’ve owned; excited to see how it does. Bought two of these knives, one to carry and one to collect. Thanks CS for making a great unique knife!
