    Great Knife

Posted by Greg on Jan 25th 2016

I just got my new Covert Auto. Initially, it wouldn't open. I oiled it, adjusted the tension on the pivot screw, and pried the blade open ( yes, the safety was off) and from there it worked wonderfully. I think I have broken it in just sitting at my desk, I have opened it so many times. It fits my hand very well and the blade is extremely sharp. I have owned several Gerbers and they are all excellent. I still have the Mark I and Mark II I bought at Ft Riley back in the early 80's. Gerber is a name I trust.

    Top Notch

I got this yesterday for Christmas and couldn't be more pleased with it. A firm believer in "muscle memory" I gave it a workout with both hands in various positions, and it performed flawlessly. I easily opened it 200-300 times, and each time was as smooth as the first. Thanks Gerber for a well made, American made product.

Only had it 2 days and already sliced my finger on the terrifyingly sharp serrations. As far as I'm concerned this is a plus for the knife. Construction is very solid, lock and deployment mechanism all work flawlessly. Extends with a satisfying SLAP. For the price it's top of the heap with s30v steel and legendary designer.
