Cold Steel 59KSET Kitchen Classics Complete Set

If your kitchen is lacking for a good set of knives, not the tired old grocery store specials you are embarrassed to use, then I've got a deal for you!
If you know knives, chances are that you already know Cold Steel outdoor knives for their quality and performance. And, they are the only knife company that I know of that goes so far as to torture test every product they made, and offer video proof of their performance. Cold Steel has put their cutting expertise of "what really works" into their Kitchen Classics, which live up to their performance based reputation. Now, it should go without saying that these Kitchen Classics are sharp -- but I'll say it anyway -- they're sharp!!! Their handles are very comfortable, and are made from a stiff Zytel core, with a deeply checkered Kraton exterior. Now, they won't look as fancy on your countertop as some knives, but I'll guarantee you that they'll perform better by being the sharpest knives you've ever used, give you a better grip, and be the safest to use -- and isn't that what a knife is supposed to be?
This Kitchen Classic set includes: 3" Paring, 6" Boning, 6" Utility, 8" Chef's, 9" Slicer, 9" Bread and SIX serrated steak knives. It's all ready for your countertop in the top quality solid oak hardwood block. Jeff

More about 4116 Krupp Stainless steel:
4116 is a fine grained, stainless steel made by ThyssenKrupp in Germany and is used for hygienic applications (medical devices and the pharmaceutical industry) and food processing which make it a superb material for kitchen cutlery. The balance of carbon and chromium content give it a high degree of corrosion resistance and also impressive physical characteristics of strength and edge holding. Edge retention in actual cutting tests exceeded blades made of the 420 and 440 series of stainless steels. Other alloying elements contribute to grain refinement which increase blade strength and edge toughness and also allow for a finer, sharper edge.
