Al Mar 1001BM Osprey - Stainless Steel Bolsters - Black Linen Micarta Scales

Perhaps the classiest gentleman's folder of all time, the Osprey series has been revamped and reintroduced by AMK. Made in their Seki City, Japan factory, the Ospreys have some of the finest fit-and-finish I've ever seen in production knives. The photos do not do these knives justice, in fact, they rival many of my custom folders which cost several times as much as these sell for.

I've found that smaller knives tend to be harder to close, especially for larger hands, but the Osprey solves the problem with its forward-position lock release. Each Osprey is supplied with a high quality leather slip pouch embossed with the Al Mar logo. At less than an ounce in weight (knife and pouch combined) you'll hardly notice the Osprey in your pocket - that is of course until you need it. And though I said this was a gentleman's folder, it's also a great knife for the lady in your life. Stay sharp! Jeff

    Great little knife

    Posted by D. R. on Nov 2nd 2014

It is small, it is sharp, it is smooth. Simply great little knife. I have it on my key chain as a daily carry.
Built is as good as it gets. Quality is superb. This is my 2nd Al Mar, and will be getting more from Al Mar.
